Why McDonald’s burger advertising doesn’t match the product (Infographic and Video)

Written by Scott Handsaker on June 21, 2012

McDonald’s recently released a video showing how they photograph their food for an advertising campaign. Featuring a “food stylist” and a photographer, it shows how a burger is crafted from scratch.

Watching it reminded me a little of an infographic we crafted a little while ago, where we compared a series of fast food items to their advertised image.

Macca’s didn’t scrub up that well in our little experiment, but perhaps the video below goes some way to explaining why.
