8 free to-do list apps your phone will love

The great thing about creating a digital task list is keeping it in sync across multiple devices. These eight free apps all have mobile versions to keep your to-do list handy no matter where you are.

1. Astrid

Push notifications for your phone, browser pop-ups and email reminders make Android hard to ignore when a task is due. With web, iPhone and Android versions and email integration, it will suit most smartphone users.

2. Doit.im

Doit.im is available for web, Android and iPhone. If you’re a GTD fan, you’ll appreciate the contexts feature of this app. It also has a handy syncing feature for Google Calendar but sadly lacks email integration.

3. Wunderlist

Wunderlist offers local versions of the app for both Windows and Mac as well as web, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android apps. It also has email integration for creating tasks.

4. Do.com

Do.com integrates with Google Apps and lets you sign up with your existing Google account. The app is available for iPhone and web.

5. Todoist

Todoist is one of the most prevalent apps on our list, with versions available for Chrome, Firefox, Outlook, Mac, iPhone, Android, Nokia, Windows Phone 7 or pretty much any other smartphone. For teams, Wedoist is a collaborative web version.

6. Remember The Milk

Remember The Milk is another app with a huge list of supported platforms. It’s available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Gmail, Google Calendar and even Twitter. Blackberry and Outlook options are available with a pro account. Check out the full list here.

reQall is an app that helps you to capture notes, ideas and information as well as creating task lists. The app is available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, web, Outlook and Google Calendar. It can also be connected to your Evernote account.
